CV-22

Was out in my car eating lunch and I was just messing with my camera when I heard something coming. Looked and saw it was an Osprey. Turned on my camera real quick and was just able to get this shot. Not a great shot, but it was a last second type of shot! Hope to get more as they fly around here all the time.

Was in a rush to get my camera fired up for the shot so i had no time to set it up since i was not actually taking pictures.

But these fly over every day so perhaps i can be better prepared next time. I want to also get some ac-130 shots, and some of the a and b model f-35s as they will be getting going on flight training very soon!

Stunning bird, saw it at Oshkosh in '08, did not hear it coming down the flight line until it passed in front of us! Overall a pretty quiet aircraft. Talked to the pilot for a bit after they set it up on display, walked through it too. It still had all kinds of sand and crap from the middle east in it! Got to see it unfold and fold up too!
Nice shot, keep the Osprey pictures coming please!

You sure it wasn't sand from the Mojave Desert?   :-?  We train there a lot with Ospreys, and before we bring gear back from the middle east or any other foreign country it gets a complete inside and out scrub down before it passes through customs and agriculture so we don't bring back invasive species.
