Been a while.....

I know I haven't been heard from around here in a bit, but here I am again....and although I don't have any fall colours to show like Doug, or a new camera to show off its abilities, I can show you how my Sunday morning went after an early call from my friend Hal. Some older members here will remember my fortunate exploits with him in an RV-6, in a Piper Vagabond and even a ride in a Super Stearman.....well, this one was just his truck(172), as he calls it - that's him putting his new RV-3 back in the hangar beyond the Cessna.....on with it now,

What a scenic flight!  Thanks for taking us along.

I would have had to have had the Carb Heat pipe directed up my trouser leg during the flight!
(Fuel injected 172?... :'(....)... ;D...!

Don't you miss the "warmth?" on Northern England?

Great shots Ken, though it helps to live where your do (got a guest room by chance ;D)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

T'was fine Paul, we had the cabin heat on and never ventured above 7000'............

Sorry Matt, only a tent in the back, but the  reality is that the rainy season is upon us now....have to wait for the spring for a real good visit, unless of course, you are a skier.....

Doug, as far as I know, they only have one "in service" Mars now. They will give tours during the summer season for the one they have on the back of the apron, but I think they are now scavenging that one for parts.....bit of a shame.....operating cost must be a big factor and availability of parts to keep even the one of them in the air will be a drawback.....

Just let me know what kind of bike shots you need for your  "fix" Mark, and I'll gladly get you more than you can stand to look at, at any sitting !......any news yet on your situation ?

Doug, I'd trade in a flash for some of the fine venues you present to us - I can assure you that your attendance with your camera at the fly-ins you visit brings many a smile to my face and the face of everyone else......Thank YOU !  8-)
