Good old government housing on Okinawa.  All those pieces - yeah...that's my roof.


Looks like you need some Seabees! ;)

All kidding aside, I'm glad you made it out relatively unscathed.

I'd love to get some seebees. At least they get the job done, and get it done quickly.  All base housing on the island is ran by the Air Force which contracts most of the work out to local nationals (per the SOFA agrement between the US and Japan, 80% of all jobs must goto local nationals).  I've been on them since Sunday to at least get tarps up on my roof - I've got one, that covers about 60% of MY side of the roof, none of the neighbors.  It's supposed to rain all week, and I've already got water leaking down through some of the upper vents.

Glad everyone is ok... :)

It is like that here also...it seems the military is a make work project for the civilians who take twenty times longer and charge one hundred percent more... :o      ::)
