High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos from my time with the 31ST MEU.

Postby RHeite » Sat Apr 16, 2011 3:34 am

Here are a few HDR treated photos I took while deployed out with the 31ST MEU over the Fall 2010 - Spring 2011.  Some nice shots for the rotary fans.

No sims there - just HDR treated photos. Gives them a little "pop".

#1 was taken back in October flying into P.I. (from the boat to Clark AFB).

Very, very nice. And thank you for serving. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Awesome shots. Are you permanently attached to the Essex?

Not permanetly, although it sure felt like it.  I'm the Operations Chief for HMM-262(REIN), the "Flying Tigers".  We just wrapped up the Spring Patrol as the Air Combat Element for the 31st MEU.  We basically take care of all the Air power for the MEU.  The Essex has the current rotation as the forward deployed LHD.

We actually just finished supporting Operation Tomodachi (HA/DR on Mainland Japan) before coming back to Okinawa.

That's sweet. I actually have a friend from here in Pensacola that just got transferred here to the 31st. I don't know how big MEUs get, but be on the lookout for PFC Stovall. ;)

A MEU is about the size of a regiment.
