Florida road trip-pt 1

Postby beaky » Fri Jan 28, 2011 8:33 pm

Got a call back in December from old friend Mitch, who I've known for 30 years... he was thinking that he and I and another old friend, Steve, who all have birthdays in January, should get together in Florida to celebrate, probably in Orlando, where Mitch lives with his wife Karan.

Sounded good to me... haven't seen them in a few years, Florida is pretty warm this time of year, and I wasn't busy... so I got one of the loft-dwellers, Andrew, to tag along and share expenses and driving duties, and off we went. Brought along my new HTC EVO 4G, and used only that for photos and video. Not bad, except for the battery life...

Nice shots. Looks like it was a neat trip. That Barracuda looks great for it's age. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Neat phots - definitely a part of FL I haven't been to....  But I wonder, what "pretty warm this time of year"  Florida did you go to?  Definitely not the "yes another freeze wwarning for tonight"  that I've been seeing for the past month on and off!  (Although compared to the rest of the country....)

Having said all that, not only are the subject matter of the  photos and your descriptions almost like reading a travelogue, but I like the overall composition of the photos as well.

8-) That Dodge looks like the perfect spotting vehicle. There's even enough room up there for a cooler of beer!
