Brand name by request...

Girlfrien had a good DSLR, but the thing didnt work with SDHC cards as these weren't available when the camera was new.

In 2007 there was a firmware update that made SDHC possible.
Only strange thing is that on the manufacturer support website, there's no trace of the camera, not even in the legacy section.

Well i did find the update eventually,and strangely the instructions are still on the site. So the camera did a 100% succesful upgrade and now works with 8GB cards

But shame on you (insert manufacturer here) for leaving customers in the dark

Not the best situation, but I'm sure that with the quick progress of technology in digital cameras, you may find this sort of thing happening more and more.....I'm willing to bet that this isn't a manufacturer specific thing either.... ::)
