Sherwood Forest and it's Great Oaks

Some of these Oak trees are known to be over 1000 years old.

This is the Major Oak which is believed that Robin Hood hid from his enemies iside it. Est 800-1000+ years old.

Sherwood is indeed a great place to visit. The Center Parcs there sticks you right in the middle of the forest which is very cool.


Nice shots, I never realised that was the tree, I thought it would've been a lot bigger.

Nice! Those oaks look so gnarley. Hmm, I wonder if Google streetview would take me to Robin Hoods lair?  :)
