According to the FAA, this is an Elmendorf 1002, but I'm pretty sure it's just a 172 with a different tail.

Nah, I don't think that's a 172, the windshield is too streamlined. :-?

Looks to have more in common with a Cessna 182, slots in the cowl, cowl flaps, single rear window.  After doing a little research on the aircraft, this appears be the only one, and I am betting is a modified Cessna 182 that has been reregistered as experimental.  Not quite sure what the point of putting another tail on a 182 is, just to be listed as experimental
