Finally!

I managed to catch a 727 at Filton.....this one only came in last week....there's still one more in the MK hangar :D

The rain stopped just as she started her engines and she created a little bow wave as she moved down the sodden runway :D

Are the engineless 747s still sat there?

Nice shots, but happiness is 4 smoky engines, not 3! ;D

The engineless DC8 is still there, as is one of MKs 747s (but I don't know if it has engines or not)

Do they have a lot of bird strikes there? Seeing all those birds in #2, #3, & #4 make me very uncomfortable.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

It's not far from the sea, but the fact they are where they are in the shots shows the bird scarer's doing his/her/its job. :)

All very very nice shots. That old airplane is very near and dear to my heart.

That was a Super '27 BTW. It has the -217 engines used on the MD and Boeing 717 aircraft, plus the Stg III Hush Kit, and of course the winglets. Supposed to offer a 3% increase in fuel economy.
