Why I live here..........

Postby Rifleman » Sun Nov 01, 2009 11:33 pm

All it takes is a run into the mountains to remind me why I live here.........well, that and taking a look at Wendy......

This was today, Nov 1 09.........not a bad day for driving out towards the Pacific, with a view of the snowcaps starting to form..........

Enjoy...........I did...........

Had to put on the long lens, just to see how nice that waterfall was, on the other side of the lake ........

I guessed it was that area, but I wasn't sure quite where abouts exactly. Yeah I think you have said in the past, but I just forgot  :-[

Fantabulous Photographs, Ken... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

I'm still curious about your average Temperatures, being so far North?

...anywhere near Canada always gives me the impression of cold temperatures, and lots of Ice and Snow... :o...!

...a bit different to your; "Scouseland" over here!...;)...!

Nice scenery Ken. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I could be wrong Foz but I think Vancouver Island is further south than Hereford.

...the trouble for Ken, is that Eskimos live just around the corner...

...and that always gives me the impression that it must be very cold "up there" where Folks live in Igloos, and eats lots of Fish... :o...!

I'm forever thankful for our "Atlantic Gulf Stream" to keep us warm and cosy here in the British Isles... :)...!

Foz, Doug is right, I live between the 49th and 50th parallel, while you are north of the 52nd.......although these shots were taken just about the 50th............

First off... There are no eskimos on Vancouver Island that I know of.  Second, it doesn't even get that cold in that region... just wet.

It is so ironic. I lived and my parents still do in Cornwall. I am always told how lucky I was to have grown up their and how lovely that my parents still do and how much whoever is saying this would love to move to such a beautiful place..........I would swap it in a heartbeat for your vista.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
