I'm not looking for much......

How about a 100-500mm f1.2 lens........OK, maybe that's a bit much to ask for,.......... I'll settle for an F1.4 100-400mm.....

And naturally, for $50.00...........

A shoulder mounted camera holder? It is a possibility.

Of course I still love THIS as an idea haha.

And then see how far you get spotting at your local airport, mind you, probably a couple of shots more than you would at Heathrow or JFK ;D ;D

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Ah the delights of the modern world.

Back on topic, some photographers thought it might be good to have a tripod design which could snap apart to leave just a single leg attached, a monopod.

Do you like the idea of that? Now I am just thinking of how to develop that idea. A ground anchor (sort of spike on the end to secure the tripod) was one idea. Lose the screen on the front and just have a really stable design.

Is there anything else you'd like to see on a new tripod design? Any features which you really like about your current tripod or any features you wish were there?

You want to do a monopod, all you need is a bolt, a bit of string and a bit of wood. The bolt, one that fits into the threaded portion of the camera. A bit of string attached to said bolt. The other end is then attached to the bit of wood. The bit of string needs to be a smidgen shorter than from the floor to a normal supportive camera to the eye stance. Screw in the bolt, stand on the bit of wood and tension the string. You now have a stable, "reverse" tripod/monopod. The best part, wrap the string around the wood and it fits into your pocket.
