More August 47N snaps(pt 1 of 3)

From the last few weeks...

I may have posted a pic of this Tomahawk before, but what the hey, I like this photo.

Not your average motorglider... turbo-normalized, constant-speed prop, 120KIAS on 115 hp. And the 54-foot wingspan gives it a 28:1 glide ratio. Very cool.

There were several visiting Grummans today; here are two of them.

I love Pipers,  did my solo in a  J one back in 1972.   propped the door hinge open,  threw out a roll of toilet paper and cut it with the prop on the way out if a loop.
Moved up now.....................  hard work......Piper Twins  are great............
