And about the insurance (idk about Texas laws, but here in FL you HAVE to have insurance), make sure you get the 'good student' discount ;)

Naw, a quality redneck truck would be a lifted '76 Ford or GMC with roll bars and a shotgun rack in the rear window.   ;)

That's one hell of a first 'car'. In the UK we usually get something like this:

The only bad thing about trucks when you're young.. is that all your friends come to you when things need moved..  :D

You'll be the first person to see all your friends new apartments.. Might as well get a dolly now..
