Simply beautiful, they just don't build them the way they used to.  If you ever read any good WWII books these pics really bring the books to life

I can tell you one thing for sure, it's feels really weird to round a corner among all those tall buildings and all of a sudden be starring down a battleship in the middle of town.... :o

I can tell you one thing for sure, it's feels really weird to round a corner among all those tall buildings and all of a sudden be starring down a battleship in the middle of town.... :o

;D and as big as that...!...you'd have to think we were going to war or something. ;D ::) :o

Can you imagine how weird it is for the people that work in those buildings across the street to look out the window and be starring down the barrels of 6 - 16"  cannons....lmao

That street directly in front of the bow was where my step-son decided to come down the first time I saw the Wisconsin in 2007. He just said we were going to Nauticus and nothing about the battleship.

When we turned down that street, it looked like the bloody ship was literally coming down the street. That picture above of the bow sort of gives you the feeling of starring down this behemoth in a little car....lmao
