I envy my grandparents

Postby HarvesteR » Fri May 15, 2009 4:39 pm

I just found this while digging through old papers on my grandpa's office:

Image

TRANSLATION: Air France is pleased to certify that Francisco Falanghe Neto (my grandpa)
Has broken the speed of sound on July 26, 1977 Aboard the Concorde

I thought this a piece of aviation history... worth saving and, of course, sharing with you guys

Truly envious here too!

Of all the things I'd wanted to do, travel on Concorde was one of them.

Definately keep that safe! Never knew they gave out awards like that. It is very special indeed.

Very cool. You should have that framed. I wish I could say that I was moving faster than sound.  :'(
