Flight Experience Boeing 737-800 Simulator

Postby glennlcasey » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:14 am

Hey there. Well I went for my flight in the Boeing 737-800 Simulator at Flight Experience.

What a fantastic experience. Immediately you felt part of the action, everything you see in the sim is there, and it feels great to touch everything.

Started off at Macao, in China, where i was taken through the display panels and the various parts of the cockpit. Then a take off and circuit of Chep Lap kok, before doing a touch and go, then establishing on the ILS of 13 in Kai Tak. Two approaches there, then a tear drop entry into rwy31. From there we repositioned into St Marteen for a circuit, before cavorting over to Queenstown New Zealand, for another challenging circuit. this one is hour glass shaped, and winds throughs valleys and stuff

It is great fun, I went to the one in Sydney. I was quite surprised they used FS9. Sounds like you really enjoyed it. 8-)

Good show and thanks for the inside picture.

There is nothing like being in a Thirty or so Million Dollar Simulator.  I use the C130 one about twice a year and it can even put smoke in the cockpit.  The graphics are so good you can see what they are putting on the hamburgers when you go past McDonalds.   ;D

Hope they gave you a briefing on where the "Kill Switches" were just in case one of you is knocked out, yes that is how dangerous and serious these things are folks, they are not toys.   ;)

They are putting in a C17 Simulator with another new C130 Simulator. Not a great lover of jets or spam cans but I guess will have to break down and give it a try.   ::)   :)

Did they tell you how much that simulator cost?

Again thanks for the picture and glad to see you had a great time.
