Ahh...New York City, I love the soul and energy of the place, but I hate the touristy amusement park it becoming, too many tourist, and tourist traps. It seems like the true part of the city is dieing. Long gone are the lower class neighborhoods were people from many different cultures and backgrounds would mix. Now in their place is some of the most expensive real estate in the world, 30 years ago you didn't want to live there. A lot of the smaller shops and restaurants have closed and you can no longer 'taste' food from many people's 'old country'. Sadly this culturally rich and diverse city is disappearing and becoming the new NYC...the city needs its lower class neighborhoods, a healthy murder rate, and you need to be able to walk down the street and see the flashes of color, smell hundreds of smells, and hear the sounds of countless foreign languages.
But that's just me...
