EWR early a.m.

Postby flyboy 28 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:30 pm

Bit the bullet finally and went to check out EWR's 'economy' parking at the threshold of 22L. Great results, but $15 for the first hour, an hour afterward. :-/ The first two were from the Ikea lot, though.

These are taken with my Panasonic FZ-7. I lost my CF card for the Rebel, so my backup camera had to be in action. :)

This is my buddy Ryan, who went with me. We go flying together every so often, when weather and schedules align. :)

Over at economy, a CO 764 pulls out.

This was worth the money. :)

Here's a bonus vid, a UPS DC-8 landing on 4R.

Great spot- I can't believe the "fuzz" hasn't given you a hard time yet for being there and, you know, threatening national security and all that. ;D
Coming off the NJT from the south today, I saw three black SUVs- either sheriff's dept or PAPD (or maybe the dark and mysterious DOHD itself) parked on the shoulder just outside the fence, at the opposite end of the field.

Great shots James!!

So, how is it spotting from there and how long was it before they started to eye you up when you were at IKEA?

Ta, men.

So, how is it spotting from there and how long was it before they started to eye you up when you were at IKEA?

Actually, from the time we were at the Ikea lot (0330 to 0730), we were the only car in the lot. We stayed until the sun came up sufficiently to give enough light to justify the economy parking. Didn't get bothered at any time while there, which is a first for me. I can't wait to go back when they're using the 22's. :D
