That was either an illegal "proficiency run" or a volunteer-only test flight with hazard pay. ;D

Any idea what exactly was going on there? I see a beach in the foreground, but I can't tell if they're trying to land on it or what.  :-?

Well for starters, it's nowhere near a Beaver.......this one's an Otter........

I don't recall that modification but the military and it doesn't matter what countries their military all came up with different mods.

Good evening all... :)

Now looking at those two wonderful pictures Ken added, now  everyone here must admit that the 1st picture of the DeHavilland DHC-3 Otter with her P & W R 1340 engine is a much nicer looking old girl than when they put that gas turbine PT6 on her.
