Some from the recent archives

Postby flyboy 28 » Sun Jan 25, 2009 1:15 pm

I've been going through my shots from the last few months and I came across these that I don't think I ever posted.

"Stop me if you've heard this one before..." :)

From last Tuesday, an Avanti kicks up some snow at Caldwell
Image

From November, a CAP 172 lands on 25 at 47N
Image

From the same day, a 182RG gets going at SMQ
Image

Also from the same day, this Trojan met me at Sky Manor.

And to appease the masses, here's a tube, just before Thanksgiving.

All very good...but yes, that Trojan!!  :o

I went to Sky Manor on the spur of the moment recently, but there was no activity while I was there (it was already late). It was kinda nice just to be at an airport.
I never know when I'll be free, but give me a holler next time you're out spotting in the area.

You shoulda gave me a ring, as I was likely around. I'm only ten minutes from Sky Manor. When it gets a bit nicer out, I'll be back down to Kupper. ;)

Avanti shot is great. Looks like you found a rather nice spot to spot. ;)

Nice shots James, I also like the T-28, nice shutter speed to have the prop blurred just enough. Mark

Yeah, I thought of it, but it was an extremely last minute, late-in-the-day thing.. I was looking at Peg thinking "been a while since I took her anyplace for some fresh air", then I got this itch to just drive somewhere. It was a quick visit, and it was getting dark when I got home.

As for Kupper: you and me both. Nobody in the club's even suggested we fly since before New Year's. I guess there's still too much snow laying around there.
Wouldn't stop me, but our key members are old farts who have lost interest in that sort of extreme stuff. They won't even deal with mud, let alone snow...  ;D
