Hey guys! I'm finally back from bootcamp and lovin life right now. Heres a few pictures I took in San Diego...Sorry no plane pics...bummer I know!!

haha thats funny. notice the Marines is the first letter of **MAN** Just shows its importance over the rest lol...Good luck flyboy with bootcamp. Make it a fun time, thats what I did with mine and it wasnt that bad, after the first 3 weeks the DI's are funny.

Welcome to the family.  Parris Islander here, too.  I had all of my promotions put on with a friendly pat to the collar bone and no backing on the chevrons.  The blood stripes were the worst! ;)

Do they still pin those stripes on with a fist?


I remember the first time I got promoted; the commander pinned the rank on my collar, and then suprised me when he hit the rank insignia with his fist. After we were dismissed from formation, I pulled them out of my skin, leaving little blood spots on my tshirt...lol ;D


But then the army switched to velcro... ::)

lol yeah they preach about hazing in the corps. but I don't care I want to keep the tradition in play. I mean come on its just a little pain, itll go away soon after haha.

Sorry, was gone for a two day road trip up near Oregon, my unit was tasked with providing the honor guard for WWII Medal of Honor recipient.
