Yosemite National Park pt 1 (Yosemite Spam)

Postby BigTruck » Mon Dec 29, 2008 6:40 pm

Yosemite is only a 3 hour drive from where I live, so the wife and I decided to take a two day trip out there and do some photography.  It is beautiful there!!!  The pics I upload do it no justice (compression for one, and just seeing it in person for the other)

I took over 2000 pictures, but narrowed it down to 43 shots to reduce the Spam factor haha.  The valley floor was tho only part of the park open due to a two week dump of snow on the place (had to put chains on the tires to get into the park)

I will definately be headed out there this summer though, I just HAVE to see the rest of this place!

El Capitan, world famous rock climbing face

Glacier Point (You can see where the rock face fractured and slid just a little bit)

One more shot of El Capitan (you have to see this structure in person, it is MASSIVE, this is looking at it from about 5 miles away)

Beautiful stuff! every inch of that place is incredibly picturesque...;D

Didn't see snow when I was there, but it was in May. ;D
West of there, in the mountains near the sequoia forest, however, there was snow...

You mean Bucket List?!?   :o   ;D  That's a death wish climbing that face!!!  Driving down the Highway 41 it filled my entire windshield and I looked up out my sunroof and there was the summit...just a massive vertical climb!!!
