Leaving KAGC
Flying between the layers

Great shots, Mark.
Just wait 'til you're allowed to sit in the front seat.

Interesting learning IF in a "single screen" glass cockpit aeroplane. I'd imagine the switch from the IF instrument scan in a "conventional" cockpit to IF in a glass would be reasonably simple, but vice-versa, I'm not too sure.
It'd be interesting to find out.

Getting actual IFR conditions is a bonus and great training.
The first approach we did was a GPS and when we leveled off at the minimum descent altitude I looked up and saw we had not broken out of the clouds yet. Then shortly before reaching the missed approach point we broke out of the clouds and the runway was right in front of us. It is one thing to do it with foggles on but it is so much better when actually breaking out of clouds and seeing the runway.
