I thought I had this shot, I was so excited, but when I looked at the little screen on my camera after shooting it, my heart sank...too much friggin zoom.  DAMMIT!!!  Well, try again next year.

So close... but not quite.  ;)

Ive had the chance to photograph the Blues and they are a tricky bunch!  I think I got 4 shots out of the hundreds that worked "just right"  8-)

It was way harder this year compared to last year in Hawaii, last year the formation stayed together and the solo and opposition did their thing, this year the whole team was all over the place, plus I couldn't see which way they were coming from unless they came around over the water so I had to time everything just right or sacrifice a shot haha.  Each pass gave me about 3 seconds of shooting time unless they came straight up the bay from the golden gate.  Talk about a work out scrambling up and down those rocks on the pier.  I won't even bring up the work-out I got chasing the snowbirds  ;D

All fixed for you, I think you'll find this is indistinguishable to the untrained eye, although I'm sure some of our more experienced 'spotters' will be able to notice the join.

Image

PS, the afterburners were my idea, I think they look rather snazzy.

It's the afterburners isn't it? I must admit, I did rush those.
