Sony Camera Help

Postby Ravang » Fri Sep 12, 2008 2:45 pm

I don't know if anyone here has done any video editing, but my school just brought a Sony DCR-SR45 for our news program, but the video output files can't be read with Windows Movie Maker (we use this because it is simple and easy to use) even though they are MPEG2 format. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried several converters but the file may change from .MPEG2 to .AVI but Movie Maker still says the files can not be read... :-/

Here's a link to some information on the camera

Apparently this is a common problem. You might find this helpful. http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-Importing-Video-MPEG2.html
