the beauty of 47N is that there's a golf course right next door... so you can spot aircraft while chasing the stupid white ball around. ;D

There's even a cemetery for those who'd like to get some spotting in while  visiting departed kinfolk! ;D

Or... find a similar airport somewhere and make a nuisance of yourself like I have!  ;D

My perspective is different... my introduction to the game was as a caddy.  ;D
In all fairness, it looks challenging, and golf courses are nice peaceful places to hang out...some day I'll have to try it.
It's just that watching golf is like watching paint dry.  ;)

You gotta try it out.  I too just chase golf balls, I can't aim for crap, but I have a blast out there seeing where the ball goes and just enjoying a few beers while getting away from the house.  It's way more fun to play than to watch, heck I love golfing but cant stand to watch it...

Golf is a good walk spoiled - Mark Twain

We call it 'chasing the little white pill'. I reckon that most men play golf to get away from the missus for a while. An excuse for a few jars at the 19th. Heck, a lot of so-called golfers don't even walk nowadays. :P

Each to his own but I prefer hanging round a wonderful airfield like this one. 8-)
