I'm a bit surprised about the peddle boats. In Belgium the lifeguards use powered, inflatable boats. Those must be quicker on the scene if something happens...

Yeah, I was lucky!!

Kris, they move those boats out pretty fast.  They got to the kids in no time.  They participate in Lifeguard contest all the time and need to be fast.

Yeah, I think a good whuppin was waiting for them after they got hugs for being o.k.!!

Can't say I've ever seen rowboats before.  I have seen the lifeguards use jetskis with a tow behind sled type thing before.  Those are pretty quick.
