Last one. Just some leftovers.

Lower ball turret.

It flew over my house a few times while it was giving flights. Didn't have the camera handy though. The first time it flew over, my sister pointed it out, but didn't know what it was. I look up and I am just amazed that a B-17 is going over my head. Amazing to see these things fly.

Lucky!!  One flew over our heads while I was in boot camp and I couldn't check it out or I would have gotten thrashed haha, so I have yet to actually watch one fly

That must be very cozy in the ball turret, I don't think I can bend that way :-/... :P

Nice Shots.

Great shots in all you're post!!  Nice work!!

Aluminum Overcast will be at KTTN Aug.26th & 27th but I'll be away.  Now, while I'm away I'll be near KWWD and The Collings Foundation's B-17, B-25, B-24 and P-51 will be there on Aug. 27th to the 29th.  Guess where I'll be on the 28th!!

You have reason to envy. It was great. Only $5 and I got to ggo through as many times as I wanted, take as many photos as I wanted photos, or just hang out by the plane. There was a veteran there that said he was a tail gunner on a B-17. Amazing.

Cool shot thru the ball turret... it's unpleasant  to imagine a FW190 coming at you while inside that thing!  :o
But as long as those .50s are working, I guess it could be sorta fun...  ;D
