I think it is safe to say that the .50 cal is our foavorite round.

I love the Ma Deuce. A lot can be said for a weapon that's been in service since 1921.... 8-)

airsoft is fun, the bullets only leave tiny welts and can't stop a full scale charge (charges change the tide of airsoft battles fast!)

the gun itself looks real enough, though it is hard to tell with modern weapons. Looks like a good gun for hunting golden deer (even if it is just a 5.56/.223)

I wouldn't hunt deer with 5.56. We shot a sick Iraqi dog 9 times as it was walking around one of our vehicles, and it didn't drop. I'm sure it died soon after.One of our EOD techs shot a dog 19 times before it dropped and died...

Some of the Iraqi stray dogs looked like they were out of the Resident Evil movies, but still....

I would suggest using a bigger caliber, such as 30-06, 7.62x51, 7mm, ect when hunting for deer, and larger game

19 times? Jesus H Christ! Not only is that appauling and disturbing, but it sounds like you guys have way to much fun! So thats what EOD does when theres no IED's around...  ::)

think i'll go with 7.62, never failed me hunting non mythical animals.

Essel, if it was the good quality version it was made out of steel, nice and heavy trust me.

And there actually are m60 and m240 variants out there.

When I was in the hobby shop last week, I saw an airsoft M249. I didn't handle it, but I wondered how heavy it is. If it's light, Kids are being cheated out of the experience of lugging around a heavy M249

And the A-Bag with the extra barrel and a few buckets of chain linked ammo!!  Fun to shoot, not fun to transport!!

Now if they only made a full length M240B, M-60, or M2 .50 cal...lmao

We had Navy and Marine EOD with us over in Iraq. I've actually never met an Army EOD person

and that airsoft gun is crazy, $1400!? yo can buy real military/police grade weapons for a similar price!

Maybe rifles, but the real M2, M-60, and M240 weapons cost thousands.

I rode gunner in the cougar sitting behind a fifty for a couple missions and for a few other missions we had the 240G, which I would assume since it is USMC it's an older version of the 240B, not sure, I know how to shoot them, but I don't know all the in's and out's (I'm Comm, not infantry lol)

I'm not sure what the differences between a 240B and a 240G  are. I know the Army also has a 240C, which I have seen used on Bradleys, but i've never seen one up close
