Back in action!!!

Postby BigTruck » Fri Aug 01, 2008 11:46 pm

Ok, been sitting on the side lines lately as far as posting photos goes, took over a month for my house hold goods to get here from Hawaii, so I have just been posting replies via the wifes laptop and some wi-fi I found in the corner of the living room.  Well Wednesday my goods got here, and today the cable guy came, installed my cable and broadband internet, and now it is time to show you all the pictures I have taken since I moved here. (I'll spread them out through the days so as not to spam)

Now, I am stationed in San Bruno (south San Francisco) and I live in Napa Valley (temporarily, cheap and beautiful apartments) so I have a 45 min commute in the morning and a 2 hour commute home in the afternoon, however it is very scenic, and I happened to stumble upon these (much to my surprise) on the side of the freeway!

My first Beaver (hehe, cough cough)

Beautiful paint on the 407 (also my first Bell 407)

Wish I had one of these

Preferrably this one

The aircraft all belong to San Francisco Sea Plane Tours, I plan to take a ride sometime soon!

The photos were takin in Marin County (town of Sausolito) on the East side of the Golden Gate leaving San Francisco(you drive off the Golden Gate, go over the Hill and there they are, sitting in the Bay right off the side of the 101.

I only pay toll in the morning Paul, I take the 80 to work via the Bay Bridge and then on my way home to avoid traffic I take the 101 across the Golden Gate and then take the 37 around the Bay to get to Napa.  So yeah, the toll sucks, but it's temporary, I am moving to Moffett Field (NASA Ames Research Center) as soon as a house becomes available, much closer to San Bruno, and I can take the train from there to work for free (Gov incentives  8-))

Did they warn you that Moffett Field is highly polluted, with all sorts of dangerous "stuff" buried there?..... :o.... :o.... :o...!

LOL... ;D...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

P.S. if you are running FS 2004 there are lots of nice scenery for the Frisco Area....

(Hamilton, Alameda, etc....)...

...including a Display Course, and the BIG Airship Hangar, at Moffett Field...;)...!

Haha yeah I've heard, but hey, what part of California ISN'T polluted??

I run FS2004 (I just don't post screenshots yet since my graphics card is lousy, new computer coming soon though!!)  I will have to look into these sceneries!  I went down to Moffett the other day to see Hangar 1 and take a look at my future house.  Hangar 1 is HUGE, it's fills the skyline down there.
