Sheer majesty

Postby Mictheslik » Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:14 pm

My first ever view of a flying vulcan, and what an aircraft......not only does she look brilliant, but the noise is incredible!

A hearty congratulations for all who helped to get her into the air and allowed my generation to experience the unique sight of a flying vulcan.

Excellent mic, I've always been amazed how it can be flown with such small cockpit windows.  8-)

Hope Farnborough was worth it   :)

The Vulcan has to be the most majestic aircraft around, and when you see it flying its awsome.

I was talking to my dad the other day about it and he was telling me a story of when he worked fro British Aerospace and how he was involved when they made the fuel rod for it, looking back i remeber him getting called into work on Christmas eve that year, mum was not impressed ;D

Good to see her flying, and in all her 2008 photo quality glory. The third is just stunning.   :)

Awsome! The only one I've seen is XM607 at Waddington of course, but never one in the air...

A great looking aircraft  :)

I was at her last flight before retirement, I'll never forget it. Pity RIAT was washed out as I was hoping to see her there.... ah well maybe later in the season 8-)
