My first....

Postby Double_Farvel » Thu Jul 10, 2008 4:29 pm

This is the first aviation shot that I have posted in this section, and so I am looking for some feedback.

One of many taken while I waited for my flight to arrive at Newark (KEWR) :D

Nice and sharp. Gives a good view on the tarmac...

But the composition is a but messy... different planes, half in the shot. It's better to focus on one plane or use a wide-angle to catch an entire scene...

But I know this isn't easy at an airport, where you can't go where you want...  ;)

Just like Omag said, nice and sharp, I like the lighting, and personally I like the idea of getting the big bird behind the smaller bird, but I would have tried to get more of the big bird in the shot to even it out a bit...

I'm not normally a "cigar tube" person but I like it. The city in the background makes it interesting. Well done! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

This is all a matter of preference. It might not be technically perfect but you captured the atmosphere behind the scenes of a busy airport very well. IMHO

You got to love that CO 777 in the background. The cars really gives you an idea of how big the engines are. ;)

Very nice.

Nice work!!  It shows the workings of the tarmac.  Planes taxiing and being loaded.

It's a very nice landscape. Good fore, middle, and backgrounds. Good capture.  ;)

Lovely image....especially the city backdrop :)

a quick tip though, have a play with the levels in post processing.....at the moment it looks a little overexposed ;)

EDIT:

I've had a little play with it, hope you don't mind ;)

I think its well put together aswell! However I do agree with most of the posts above.  I like both planes but they are a little out of balance.

Also theres a little too much dead space at the top, however, nothing a good crop cant fix!
