though he said that I was on private property and anyone could be asked to leave at any time for any reason. So he asked me to move along. Whatever.
That's odd, considering that the field is owned by the town of Morristown... it's Morristown
Municipal Airport. ;) It's
operated by DM Airport Developers, Inc. , and I doubt they have any legal basis for forbidding photography.
Heck, I've taken a few pictures on the ramp there and nobody bothered me, nor did I see any signs... maybe it's a new thing.
I can't say it makes any sense... in the old days, spotting was often discouraged only if people blocked the roads around an airport when parked near the fence.
But shooing away photographers is an opportunity for them to puff themselves up with a little post-9/11 "whatever"... do they really think you'll be putting in a call to "OSB" next?
"Yes, Master, at last we know what a Gulfstream looks like... our plan cannot fail now..."
