Look waht was at work

Postby OVERLORD_CHRIS » Mon Jun 30, 2008 9:05 pm

Came into work today and found the Design Bureau An-124 sitting on the ramp. Never had them here before, always Polet and/or Volga, but never them.

Great catch!!!  Good angles on the pics too.

I've only seen the AN 124 twice in my life, once in germany on my way home from Iraq, and once two days ago at Moffett Field here in California...I guess its a regular, I didnt get any pics as I was busy house hunting but if I get a house there at Moffett there will be plenty of pics coming this way

Very cool catch! Ive only seen one in person, and it was at an airshow way back in the 80's. But they flew a demo.... so it was really cool to see that big bird in the air!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I heard from a reliable source that it's operating for Volga for the next few days.

wow! Look at that thing!

I dont think ive seen one in the flesh, though there was one (or was it somthing else thats big?) at waddington to pick up some Nimrod bits, but i missed it...though its coming back sometime, unless ive missed that as well!!

Strange looking, reminds me of a fat bird i once pulled during a drunken night some years ago!!!

Normally it is these guys or Volga here....can't believe I never got a snap of Volga even when they flew in their 124-100-150 in with the glass flight deck.

Look at that thing compared to that 135! I know its further away... but still!

And very cool seeing all that vapor on takeoff!
