Ford Tri-Motor in Cincinnati

They charge $50 for a 20 minute ride. Less if you buy tix online in advance. $100 to ride co-pilot. I was tempted.. but trying to get my private pilot, and that expensive enough.

A few pics. The one with the plane is with a 1929 Model A under the wing. The owner had always wanted a pic like this. Both the plane and car are 1929 Manufacture.

I am wishing I had a good zoom for my cam.
It is going to have to wait for Christmas though...
Anyway... I took the flight.
Took off smooth as silk. Steady as a rock in the air. What a ride.

For those that can make it, it will be in Dayton next weekend, and will make other stops as well throughout the summer, before returning to OshKosh.

Check for the info for in on the EAA website.

$50 is very good value for a 20 minute ride......the AA DC3 is coming to Bristol on Wednesday and it's 100 quid for 30 mins (about $200)

A proper airliner... a bit noisy, and I'm sure it was rough sometimes back in the day flying under the weather all the time... but it sure beats sitting folded up in the last row of a MD-80. ;D

I had more leg room in this plane than on most modern airliners I flew on.
