In-flight entertainment

I had to take a quick overnight to the UK a couple of days ago (a surprise visit to a 40th birthday) . Perks of the job, I get better in-flight entertainment that everyone else (I can't stand Mr Bean and warm coke  :(). Fortunately my phone has a flight mode where only a few functions are available, but no phone function. So I was able to use the camera function. The pictures are not that great on the quality side. The camera struggled with the extremes of very bright outside and in comparison dark inside. Out of a hundred or so pictures, these did not end up on the cutting room floor.....bad light, or blurred. Getting a decent picture in turbulence is not that easy!!

They're not bad at all, considering... even with a good camera, you'd be hard-pressed to balance interior and exterior without a flash (which the crew might not appreciate).

It is the landing gear handle lock solenoid overide trigger. This solenoid prevents lever movement when the aircraft is on the ground. There are some circumstances when I can select the gear to up on the ground (gear pins in of course) and to do so, I need to pull the trigger and then move the gear lever. Also if the solenoid fails to retract after the aircraft leaves the ground, the crew have an over ride by pulling the trigger.
