Happy 80th Birthday

Postby Roughrider » Sat May 24, 2008 6:14 pm

Some of you guys might really get a kick out of this, my Father (whitewolf) wanted to go skydiving for his 80th Birthday. Here are a couple of shot I took while I watched, I don't know why you would jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

Because you only turn 80 once, that's why. ;D

Now I don't feel so bad that I keep putting it off... way to go, whitewolf!!

A fine decision that your grandpa made, all he needs to do now is to get his AFF license ASAP ;D

Doug...;)...

There comes a time in our life that we are very grateful that we have lasted as long as we have...

...and incurring any activity which is likely to jeopardize that on-going progress is to be strongly avoided...

...I reckon... ::)...!

I always wear my seat belt when sat in my comfy chair

.....looking at a photo of an 80 year-old Granddad leaping from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane.... :o...!

Paul... 8-)...!

Many thanks to Mark and all of you for viewing and the Birthday wishes on Marks posting of my skydive. Mark made some excellent photos that day and made it all worth while!This was an experience I will never forget! The freefall really gets the adrenalin going then the chute opens to total silence and the beauty below.Lots of fun!   Whitewolf

So when are you going for your AFF license? ;D ;). Great to hear you enjoyed it, did your Tandem-instructor showed you some tricks with the chute?

Small world, i was flying circuits with that bad boy (N19TX) a few weeks ago in Deland, Florida! That thing seems to get around, would recognise it anywhere...!

Awesome stuff though, would love to do that...especially when i am his age!
