Seeing EAA's Aluminum Overcast Again

Postby BFMF » Thu May 29, 2008 11:49 pm

Every year, EAA's B-17, Aluminum Overcast stops by Felt's Field (KSFF) here in Spokane, Wa. I was driving down into Spokane on the interstate tuesday morning when I saw something in the corner of my eye. I looked up and saw a low flying aircraft that had four props. I immediately recognized it as a B-17, and suddenly remembered that it was sceduled to spend a couple days here in Spokane. I was busy in Spokane Tuesday afternoon, so I figured I would stop by the airport Wednesday morning. I was at the airport at 1130, but it turns out they were leaving earlier than I had expected, and arrived in time to watch them fire it up, and leave.

Nice catch Andrew. The first and fourth pictures look like a model in a dioroma 8-)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
