Hollywood snapshots-pt 2

More from the top of Mulholland Drive...

Behold... La-La Land. What a crappy day it was for sightseeing... usually, the sun glinting off the thick blanket of smog makes for a better picture. ;) :D
It was cold, damp, and gray all week... very disappointing.  :(

that structure in the lower right is the famous Hollywood Bowl.

Wait... what's that coming along... ah yes, a Mooney.

And it looks like the CHiPs don't just ride motorcycles... ;D

I've been to LA a couple times but, I only saw it once!! :D  My Wife and I were on " Let's Make a Deal " the one time we were out there and she won money!!

Look they are building a house that can fall on top of the others during the next earthquake!!

For some reason my eyes always seem to burn when I'm in LA!!

Pictures two; The hillside ghetto of the well-to-do..., concidering the money on that hill, it does look a bit Shanty Town-ish. ;D

Matt

PS Sean, have you considered changing from Rottydaddy to "Man in a suitcase", because you never seem to be home ;D
"A bit of a pickle" - British translation: A catastrophically bad situation with potentially fatal consequences.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

There's many, many rickety-looking (but very expensive!!) houses perched on giant dirt-piles all over coastal California... I guess it's all about the view, or maybe an attempt to get some fresh air. ;D

LOL!!
So... what were your costumes... wasn't everybody in the audience on LMAD in costume, or do I remember that wrong?

That show was mesmerizing... when Monty would start slapping down twenties in front of squealing housewives, or curtains opened to reveal gorgeous models caressing shiny new cars.... "That's right; it's a brand new AMC Pacer!!"  ;D

We were Bumble Bees and Monty was a real Jerk!!  This was back in 1985.  I'll scan a picture of us and you will see what a dork I looked like.  Of coarse my Wife looked cute as a bee!!

I would love to get my hands on that tape... LOL!!
