Same old...........

Rapidly becoming my favorite ride, the journey to the top of Mt Washington is a fast, twisty and ear-popping ride which demands attention. It's not that there are hazards on the road, but more like distractions of scenery.........the views are spectacular, with rugged snow-caps in the distance and more closely, the one you are rising towards. That and the fact that the bears are coming out of hibernation, one needs to look for movement along the sides of the blacktop. As luck would have it today, just as soon as we arrived at the main lodge, Bills phone started to ring. Not that it's a problem in itself but the damn thing was buried in his back-pack......Oh well ! call back .........

1991 Honda NightHawk 750 and my 1981 CB 650 make good riding companions for us both.......cool temps makes the engines run fine in the thinner air up here,.........

On with more of the view from the top.......Not Paul's normal run to Sainsburys.......not much snow on the ground by the looks of this, but......

Plenty of snow up in the hills......still over 5 ft once you get up couple of hundred ft up.........

So, did you have to pull real hard to get the phone off your friends ear?  :D

When its wife or kids, I stand back and see how the dust settles.......we headed down the mountain right after the call....... 8-)

Blasted mobile phones. I thought the idea of going for a ride was to get away from it all. ::)

Yes indeed Doug, I agree, but when it's family and the kids are youthful (For Bill, two of four are just driving age now) the ability to stay informed of situations which may become important can be paramount......... 8-)

For me, nobody but Wendy has my number, so I tell her I never heard it (mine's in my tank bag).......... ;)

In any event, the ride was peaceful and scenic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.........
