MX - little dirt bikes...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Sun May 11, 2008 12:28 pm

Bluffed myself into the local MX-event, didn't pay a dime. But this meant I wasn't able to shoot the pro's today, but hey, it's mothersday in Belgium.

The youthseries looked awesome as it was, these kids ( under 10) did put up quit a show...

If you ever try this yourself, don't use an extending zoom! The dust was unbelievable. I'd recommend using an internal zooming lens, like most 70-200's.

Nice stuff Kris......I seem to remember in my archive somewhere, that I did some mini-MX at one time..........let me see if I can find the year.......

Yup, I did find it indeed......was shot with my 2 MP point'n shoot......slightly lower power than your subjects of the day, but very entertaining non-the-less..........

This from May 2003........

This is what Moto-cross/Scrambling was like in Fozzers time...(The OLDEN DAYS)...;)...>>>

Funnily enough, because of the restrictions on the use of 2 Stroke Bike engines (pollution), 4-stroke races are making a come-back again... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

Big, 500cc, 4-stroke singles! Thats what makes the ground shake, shatters the ear-drums , and sets the heart (and stomach contents) into overdrive!... :)... :)... :)...!

Paul....Royal Enfield>BSA>Triumph>Ariel>Vincent>Honda.... 8-)...!

Cool... when I was under 10, the best I could hope for was a Honda 50 or a home-made minibike with a lawnmower engine... ;D
