Some illusive birds appeared at the event...

Nieuport 28 - replica of the famous WWI fighter. Airworthy if I'm not mistaken.



Fiat G46 Trainer from the Italian army, belonging to a former Belgian Army Colonel, mr. Vormezeele. Very rare guest at airshows, as is the rest of his collection ( Overview)



Dehavilland Beaver... mighty workhorse, but these colours hurt my slightly colourblind eyes. The red is overwhelming...



Ryan PT-22 - gorgeous sound as it took off!



And Hagar should know this Popham based classic... Rearwin Cloudster. Messed up the taxishots and it was place unfavoribly in the static...

I've always wondered why I've never seen any of the Vormezeele collection in the UK - if they're rarely even seen in Belgium than I'm no longer surprised. Shame, I'd love to see the Buchon in the flesh (alhtough we were lucky enough to be treated to one today).

Wow, that Fiat certainly is not something you see every day...
And I think the painful colors on that Beaver are just intended to be un-missable... imagine if the entire plane was painted that color- you'd be able to see it from space!
