It's about time...!

Postby Jared » Tue Apr 29, 2008 6:34 pm

Friday I was notified at work that I would be taking a short business trip to a city about two hours west of my house/work. At first I was disgruntled because I really didn't want to go anywhere, however my dad and I decided to make it a fun trip and go visit his brother who lives out that way on Sunday and take care of business on Monday when we traveled back home. This plan worked out perfectly, and I even got some flight time in my uncles citabria :) A Very nice flying aircraft

I think that would be my plane of choice, for learning tail-wheel piloting..  (don't tell Rotty)..

Sounds like a fun time...

Nothing wrong with that; it's just a Champ on steroids, that's all. ;)

A little pricey to rent or buy, however...

I've seen a few older ones that aren't too bad pricewise ;)

That's probably because the engines are almost run out, or it's near annual and the present owner knows it's going to be bad news... used "bargain" airplane=giant sucking black hole. ;D

Maybe I'm wrong; I haven't studied that market as closely as the 140 market. But I do know Citabrias are not cheap rentals- they generally rent at rates similar to 172s.
