VH-BVB is a 1945 De Havilland Aircraft Pty Ltd DH-82A

Google is your friend...  ;) If I don't know a type, I just google the registration or put it in the search at airliners.net

VH-BVB is a 1945 De Havilland Aircraft Pty Ltd DH-82A


Probably, but VH-BYB, the aircraft pictured, is a Swift. ;D

This series was right up my alley.. so many of my favorites in there!! Good job, and thanks a bunch, Mitch!!!  :)

did the Connie or Catalina fly at all during the show?


Yes indeed, but they were just circuits. I have shots of the Connie taking off, in the air and as it landed. If you look closely in the first shot, in the top right hand corner, there is a faint glimpse of the Connie. Its easily recognisable in the high-res shot. The Dakota also flew.
