[quote]Splendid looking oldtimer... but I do spot a cracked windscreen! Hopefully you didn't do that...

What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

It has a "heavy" right wing, but he's working on tweaking that out.

Simple, just add fuel to the left wing.  If it's like a C-152 the fuel selector is either just on or off.  But if it allows you to switch tanks, make sure you put it on the right tank every now and again.   ;) ;D

I couldn't resist.  Nice looking plane by the way.

It's "left, right, off" in this one... and yes, we did our ground ops on the right tank and started out on that one. But it's not really weight; it's rigging. ;)

So Sean, I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket. What do you say to a fractional ownership? ;)

The insurance company might not like that. ;D
You'd need some taildragger time to qualify for an "open pilot warranty" on the policy (which would still prohibit you from solo flight in the plane), and some time in type to have your name on the policy.

But I have considered that if and when I do buy, taking on a partner later on could be a good idea...someone I know...  So take that cash and go get some taildragger dual! ;D

Wonderful cockpit shot Sean, I could almost smell it.   ;)

Good grief...I just noticed...where is all the snow?  We are up to our butts here in it.  ;D

Thanks for posting them shots.   ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Very dry winter down here so far... there was a bit of snow out there at one point, but it's mostly gone now.

Nice plane Sean, I could see you landing at Oshkosh with it.

Lovely Cessna there Sean,
Might have a bit of info on how to sort the heavy right wing out :)

The owner is well on top of it... he's had it for 15 years and is very knowledgeable about the type.  He and one of his hangar neighbors were talking about "one more half-turn outta do it", which I assume refers to something with the lift strut/jury strut.

I didn't ask much as I will probably not buy this one (for other reasons besides the rigging problem).

I am curious, though, as to what you'd advise... as long as it isn't "fly with one tank low", LOL!

thats what i would of suggested Sean, and yep its to do with the lift struts.
We had the same problem with a piper cub kept turning slightly to the left, took 3 test flights before we finally managed to sort it out (needed 3 turns to the right to be fixed).
