Yeah, no joke.  At least it will be ready when I get home from work (3 agonizing hours away).

I went to the camera shop on Wed., and the owner told me about the Canon Christmas special, where it came with a 75-300 telephoto.  I asked him, "If I come back later will this still be going on", he said,"I don't see it ending very soon."  Came back this morning, and, well you know the story.  The really insulting thing about it is that he didn't even remember me from 48 hours ago.  They were out of filters, and their bags were waaay overpriced :(

I'm stickin' to Amazon and ebay from now on, unless I want to try something out.

Just bought a bag, memory card and other accesories off ebay... be careful when buying cards though, as 95% of Sandisk ones are fake.

Hmmm....

Hope BB doesn't sell that crap.  I'll have to keep that in mind when buying one tonight.

I still try to keep away from Ebay, because you never know the seller nor the material. Especially with these rather expensive photo-accesoires ( at least to me a

I've been told Amazon is good for buying camera accesories.  Anyone had experience with this?

Congratulations and welcome to the 10 megapixel world.

When I got mine I bought an extra battery so I could stay out all day.

I would recommend a 2GB cf card. With that you can take over 500 shots before having to download them onto your computer.

If you're not shooting in raw you mean. I have a 2 Gb card to and it'll be way to small to cover an airshow. It's enough when you shoot in jpeg-format, but once you're used to raw, you don't go back. I need a 8 Gb card, but they aren't cheap.

Yep. For stuff like this I always use amazon and their associated sellers rather than ebay. Got stung by a dodgy SD card (thankfully only an SD card) from ebay. :)
