Happy Birthday. [smiley=birthdays.gif]

That battery shouldn't take long to charge. Look forward to seeing your first efforts. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Ah yes, good choice Kris  8-)

Can I recommend.....

A spare battery

A cheap wide aperture lens

A superb flash unit

And anything that goes up to 400mm  ;D

Good luck, still having loads of fun with mine  ;)

Happy birthday, Kris. Great camera by the way. Would love to have one like that. Unfortunatly it's a bit out of my price range.

I see you have mastered the self-timer mode and taken a picture of your new camera with itself..........one thing you may want to look into is a remote of some sort if the Canon supports one......it's not just a gimmick, actually it's a very handy tool....
