Planes of Fame-part 4

I could swear I posted this part already, but... here's another attempt.

An original Heinkel 162...

This replica of another amazing German interceptor has a famous badge from this type...  ;)

This gorgeous P-40 appeared in Pearl Harbor (the good parts with the real airplanes flying ;) ), along with several others from the Chino collection.

This P-12 was a nice treat.

And a beautiful polished Seversky... wow!! :)

Oh cool!!!  An He162, now thats a sweet aircraft.  I've seen the one owned by the NASM and they are so cool.  By the way, I read online somewhere that the He162 at this museum was purchased recently by a German Museum.  I saw this on wikipedia and it said it was a "rumor."  Do you know if there is any truth to this (did they say anything at Planes of Fame)?

The P-40 is sweet too!

Thanks for sharing!!!

I didn't talk to anybody... I hope it's not true, much as it would be good for her to go home. ;)

I'd check the museum website:

A rare bird. Why do they always seem to display them in the darkest corner of the museum?

The good news may be HAC's recently acquired example (which IIRC was traded with the Brisfit). That, I imagine, won't end up in a dark corner... :)
