I've just found about the Hurricane..  :'(

A fitting and moving tribute from the Spits.

A fitting tribute.

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

While I think it's a nice tribute, I still find it kinda strange that they do this while the Hurricane is probably still smoldering in the distance... Personally I'd have cancelled the whole show as a sign of respect to the pilot and his relatives...

The pilot wouldn't have wanted to cause the cancellation of a show, the best way to honour his memory is to dedicate the flying to him, rather than cancel the show and leave everyone there feeling extremely negative.

As I said in the other thread, you then have the problem of coordinating the emergency response, securing the crash site and 20,000 people all trying to leave the show at the same - with some inevitably being curious and/or attempting to rubberneck.

Hence continuing the show. This also will divert the public's attention from the pall of smoke in the distance.
