Old car

Postby 61_OTU » Thu Sep 13, 2007 8:18 am

Promted by Ken and Fozzer's motorbike pics, I thought I'd post something I have been intending to do for a while. A picture of my old 1964 2.25 diesel Series II Land Rover

Image

We sold it years ago, but it was the first car I ever owned, and I loved it. It was noisy, draughty (holes underneath the pedals, air conditioning for your trouser leg :o ), bumpy and expensive, but it was just superb  8-)

One day............  ;)

I still see these mighty machines on the road "over here" from time to time... they're hard to kill.  8-)

Love it! Still a very cool car these days aswell - so much more character than the modern landies.

Cheers,

Ah yes, they have that lovely black tar which they call "lubricating fluid" in the engine...........not so much fun to work on, if you need to go out for dinner on the same day as maintenance.........  :-/

Is this the one you were telling me about that had its brakes expire in a rather unfortunate place?
